About Us
Concordia Outdoors is a group dedicated to enriching student life by helping members of the Concordia University community experience and learn from the world outdoors. We emphasize the importance of active living, as well as outdoor and environmental education for students of all ages, and we strive to make these outdoor experiences accessible for members of the Concordia community.
Active since January 2007, we are a CSU-recognized club with over 160 members and growing. Our members come from all corners of the world and have a wide variety of interests and skill levels.
Our Activities
Our events are dictated by the interests of our members. Like most outdoors clubs, we offer outdoor adventure-type trips including backcountry camping, hiking, paddling, climbing and snow sports. In general, we emphasize entry-level, local, cheap or free events, although we also offer events for more seasoned outdoors men and women. In addition, we organize indoor social events, movie nights, and informative presentations. For information about our upcoming events, please check our calendar.
Get Involved!
Membership is free and open to everyone, non-students included. To become a member, simply sign up for our mailing list.
Meetings are held Wednesdays at 2pm, usually at or near Concordia's downtown Hall Building. For meeting locations, please check our calendar, sign up for the mailing list, or join our Facebook group.
We are always looking for new volunteers and active members. If you'd like to get involved, come out to one of our meetings or send us an email
